Your Help is
Needed! Adopt an Animal!
Are you interested in helping children and
adults alike learn more about our animals? For the past 4 summers we have
provided our educational animal shows at the International Circus Hall of
Fame in Peru, Indiana.
This year our programs are in danger due to
the increased expansion projects underway. Buildings are being renovated
to become climate controlled in order to be able to host an increased
crowd, stay open year round, and generally make things more comfortable
for the patrons. Buildings are also being planned to house the animals on
a permanent basis in order to provide educational programs year round.
To achieve these goals funds that have, in the past, been used to
sponsor our animals, have been diverted to the building fund and an
extensive fundraising campaign has begun in order to maintain our programs
as well.
You/your group/or civic organization can help
several ways.....
1) You can adopt an animal for the length of
our stay (Hopefully 12 weeks)
This would consist of donating the money designated for the different
animals to be fed, watered, housed, and cared for. These fees range from
$100 per week to $1800 per week.
2) You can donate anything you can afford. The money will be put into a
special account set up specifically for the animal programs.
3) You could sponsor an entire educational program.
4) Some of the more expensive animals to adopt may have multiple
"families" who share the cost of their upkeep. You can earmark
your donation for a specific animal or for the group in general.
The International Circus Hall of Fame is designated a National Historic
landmark and is also a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation. All donations are
fully tax deductible. Each donor will receive a personal letter from Doug
Terranova thanking them for their involvement, and there will be banners
placed near each animal/show naming the sponsors of each.
